With the 64-bit versions, you do miss out on Ogg Vorbis decoder as well as the libsnd library due to some complications with MinGW on the Windows platform. Currently, InfraRecorder is compatible with all Windows Operating systems except for those older than Windows 2000 and is even included in the 64-bit versions of Windows. ![]() Christain was able to offer InfraRecorder to the public for free, making it the much cheaper alternative to using commercial writing software. Developed and released by Christain Kindahl back in 2006, this program made it possible for people to compile, create, and burn their own CDs and DVDs in the comforts of their own home. Even though InfraRecorder uses cdrtools to do the actual disc writing, the software helped to completely optimize the task and make it easy enough for anyone with interest in mixtapes or home movies to do it. Having been rated by CNET as the best disc burning software in 2007, InfraRecorder was the first of its kind in at home cd and DVD writing software. ![]()
